Trump's War
And Not of His Choosing
The following is taken from Foreign Policy This Week 23MAR2026:
What happens if U.S. President Donald Trump wins the war in Iran? And what happens if he loses? Two FP columnists make a case for the frightening dimensions of each scenario.
An outright victory over Iran would be more dangerous for the United States, Israel, and the world than an end by any other means, Howard W. French argues. Imagine how much more wild and dangerous Trump’s instincts would become, he writes: “Neither the United States nor the world can afford to have the U.S. presidency mutate into a cancerous dictatorship.”
Suzanne Nossel, on the other hand, believes that Trump’s response to defeat could make the conflict more dangerous. She outlines the threat that the U.S. president poses to civil society and global security and notes that if trapped or desperate, Trump “might resort to extreme measures that involve reckless deployments of ground troops or even the use of unconventional weapons.”
How is the West expected to win against extremely radical Islam and our own far Left citizens? The Islamists, people, are coming to kill you. And so far, it seems to be working with blatant impunity. They’ve swarmed Europe and have all but silenced any government there, with the highly notable exception of Poland. You know, the country everyone used to make fun of. Yes, that Poland. With that stand-out, not a single government in Europe has had the guts to stand up for their own citizens, history, or heritage while foreigners are brutally victimizing them.
The bulk of the West first bowed to, then surrendered to Iran’s global terror simply because governments are absolutely terrified of offending the Muslim “residents” they welcomed to flood their borders. And to the governments that proudly welcomed everyone from North Africa and the Middle East with open arms by way of trying to be everybody’s buddy, and looking benevolent, great job. Your own people are being raped, murdered, and marginalized by the ineptitude of your elected officials. Not to mention an electorate that keeps putting the same idiots in the same offices, as does the US, year after year, decade after decade. And everyone wonders why their customs, heritages, and sovereignties have been pissed away? You have to be friggon kidding. Appeasement, “friendly relations”, and “strongly worded letters” don’t cut it, folks. As previously mentioned, the Islamists are coming for you.
So, now, once again, the United States has to save you from your own damned selves. But not the entire American government. Only the American President, Donald J. Trump, and very few people in our entire Congress. No argument, his ways tend to be very juvenile at times. Well, a lot of the time, actually. However, when you vote personality over policy, that is how you end up with the situations the entire world finds itself in today. To say President Trump is caustic is an understatement. He truly believes there are only two ways: his way, or no way. And sometimes, folks, he actually isn’t wrong. You allow European political fires to grow out of control, and then desperately need outside help to douse them. And when the only ones who are stepping up to do so are Americans, you get pissed at American interference.
If you are good with defending and protesting for those who would happily slit your throat just because you are an American, have at it. Donning a scarf and waving a sign doesn’t make you any more intelligent about Palestine than the typical college student; special shoutout to the Gays For Palestine movement, by the way.
However, when your ideology starts to threaten world economies, peace, and stabilization, guess what? Uncle Sam has been down that road before and has no problem with doing it again with those in the United States Armed Forces who totally, completely, and faithfully understand what our ARMED FORCES actually stand for.
And to the Western media, keep embracing all those whose main goal is your blood on a sidewalk.

Life demands we accommodate each other. There is a classic answer from game theory how to keep the peace. Have a look here. Glad to answer questions.
